Psychology Subject Pool

The UNLV Department of Psychology offers students in specified classes the opportunity to earn credit towards their course grade by participating in Psychology experiments or by completing summaries of research articles.

Spring 2012 Deadlines:

Experiment Participation: Thursday, April 26th at 5:00PM

Article Summaries: Friday, April 27th at 5:00PM

STUDENTS: For both experiment participation and article summaries, students must first register on Sona System. Download the following handout for an explanation of the procedure. For those choosing to do article summaries, here is a copy of the form.

RESEARCHERS: Researchers must be faculty members in the Department of Psychology at UNLV, post-docs working with a faculty member, or students supervised by a faculty member. Download the following handout for an explanation of the procedure for running a study.

INSTRUCTORS: All PSY 101 students are required to participate in the subject pool. For all other psychology courses, instructors have the option to require credits or offer extra credit for student participation. All psychology instructors will be emailed instructions at the beginning of each semester.
