Cognitive Psychology Assistant Professor

We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position, to begin in Fall, 2008, for an assistant professor in cognitive psychology with a specialization in areas such as language, attention, vision, reading, or computational modeling. Candidates are expected to demonstrate expertise and training in the relevant area and maintain an active research program in that area of specialization.

Responsibilities for this position include developing and maintaining an active research program leading to scholarly publication, undergraduate and graduate teaching in core areas as well as in the candidate's area of expertise, research supervision, mentoring, and participation in curricular decisions and faculty governance.  Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Psychology or Cognitive Science.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience; the University has excellent fringe benefits.  Position is contingent on funding.
